Email Marketing: Skip the Spam

Before text messaging marketing came email marketing. Email marketing has extensively been used as a tactical way to recuperate clients and is continued to be used today as a main marketing tool. However, email marketing often gets sent to the spam folder and clients miss out on your newsletter, new announcements, or chances to participate in your company’s contests or draws. A spam folder is a good thing when it comes to actual spam mail, but not when you want to get the word out about your salon or spa!

emailMitchell Harper lists a couple ways of avoiding the spam folder – these include selecting the right words, paying close attention to your formatting, using double opt-in email, and testing your email track before actually sending everything out.

If your salon or spa is using email as your prime marketing tool and you don’t know why you may not be receiving as much traffic as expected, look at how you are formatting your text and what kind of key words appear in your content. Make sure you get the most out of your online database and avoid the spam folder!
